短学期课程Introduction to spectral theory of complex Neumann Laplacian

 课程简介:

The complex Neumann Laplacian is a prototype of an elliptic operator with non-coercive boundary conditions. This short course is an introduction to spectral theory of the complex Neumann Laplacian. We will focus on the interplay between spectral behavior of the complex Neumann Laplacian and geometric properties of the underlying domains. Topics include: (1) Explicit computations. (2) Positivity of the complex Neumann Laplacian. (3) Discreteness of the spectrum. (4) Eigenvalue distributions. Time permitting, we will also cover applications of the spectral theory to problems in complex algebraic geometry.
